Photographs aboard a Lake Como yacht
Begin a Lake Como yacht photoshoot with the images you need and the actual craft. Then coordinate people, equipment, light and the pier without turning a visual preference into an unconfirmed itinerary.
A lake outing from the landing that suits you
Start with your village, your date and the people joining you. We will help connect the craft, landing and time on the lake, then prepare a price for the outing you have in mind.
- Your departure
- Landing planned around your village or hotel

- Craft, time on the lake and agreed onboard arrangements
Match the craft to the visual brief
An open Riva-style profile and a modern cabin cruiser create different pictures. Request recent photographs of the exact craft that would be supplied, including its colour, seating and any fitted cover.
State whether the session is personal, wedding-related or commercial. A brand campaign or film production may introduce permissions and operating requirements beyond a private portrait outing. Explain the intended use and ask the operator to confirm suitability and responsibilities before a creative team commits to the vessel or publishes a call sheet.
Plan the lake background without a rigid checklist
Give the photographer's main visual priorities in order: a close shoreline, open water, a villa in the distance or the craft itself. A Como departure and a central-lake start offer different time budgets for those ideas. Ask for a course that preserves shooting time instead of using the whole session to reach several locations.
A property visible from the lake is not automatically a permitted landing or a private backdrop you can control. If a shoot includes a venue ashore, have its access and the craft's landing arrangements agreed separately. The skipper decides the operating position; a desired camera angle cannot require unsafe manoeuvring or unauthorised use of a pier.
Count people, bags and working space
Include the photographer, assistants, stylist and talent in the passenger list. Describe equipment cases and any space needed for changing or preparing clothing. On a compact launch, those belongings affect the seats and movement available, so they belong in the original brief rather than being treated as minor additions at boarding.
Ask what equipment can be used and secured aboard. Stands, lights, attachments and power needs require approval for the actual craft. Aerial filming is a separate permissions discussion with the responsible professional, not an assumed part of a yacht booking. Keep the plan manageable for the vessel and the people operating it.
Agree how a change will be handled
Discuss the preferred light and whether the session can move within the booked window. Weather may alter a course or make a different part of the lake more appropriate. Agree an alternative with the photographer and operator, and read the charter's postponement or cancellation terms before paying separate production expenses.
The proposal should identify the craft, skipper, pier, hours and permitted group, with fuel and any services clear. Distinguish setup time from active shooting and leisure time. An enquiry can begin with a concise shot brief, but the actual vessel and confirmed arrangements must be in place before promising a specific image, landing or shore connection to a client.
Before meeting by the lake
Can we choose the exact colour and model?
You can request them, but the provider must identify the actual craft and provide current photographs. A model guide alone does not confirm its local availability or finish.
Can a commercial team use the boat?
Declare the intended use, people and equipment at the start. Suitability, permissions and contractual responsibilities must be assessed and confirmed for the real production and craft.
Ask about your Lake Como date
Let us know your date, village or hotel and how many people are coming. Your contact details let us discuss a suitable lake outing and send its price.
A village, a date and the number joining you are a useful place to start.
